Savannah Mandolins SA-115-E Editorial Review

The Savannah SA-115-E Madison Mandolin has garnered mixed responses from customers, particularly highlighting its suitability for beginners and its affordability. Many reviews echo a Consensus that, for novice players on a budget, this instrument offers an accessible entry point into the world of mandolins. Users appreciate both its sound quality and aesthetics, with some noting that it performs just as well when plugged in as it does acoustically. However, it is essential for potential buyers to be aware of the setup requirements. Several customers reported issues straight out of the box, such as high action, poor intonation, and subpar electronic components. Those comfortable with making adjustments to the instrument found the effort worthwhile, effectively transforming the mandolin into a more playable and enjoyable instrument. Conversely, users who lack experience with instrument setup advised steering clear, emphasizing that proper adjustments could significantly impact the overall experience. Some seasoned musicians praised the Savannah SA-115-E for its aesthetic appeal, comparing it favorably to competitors in the same price range, while also acknowledging that while the electric features are an attractive bonus, they might slightly compromise its acoustic prowess. Overall, the Savannah SA-115-E is perceived as a solid value for the money, particularly for those willing to invest some time into its setup. ###
