Rothco Outerwear 9767-wPATCHES Editorial Review
The Rothco Special Ops Tactical Soft Shell Jacket has received a mixed reception from customers, primarily focusing on its comfort, warmth, and design, alongside some notable shortcomings. Many users appreciate the jacket's warmth, with one reviewer highlighting its effectiveness in 35-degree weather with minimal layering underneath. The fit is generally praised, with several comments indicating that the medium size accommodates broader frames well, making it a suitable choice for various body types. However, there are significant concerns regarding its practicality in wet conditions. Multiple users reported that the jacket is not waterproof, leading to discomfort during rain. The placement of pockets has also drawn criticism; many users found them to be awkwardly located instead of the expected functionality found in typical jackets. While some appreciate the number of pockets, the absence of hand pockets was a common complaint. Additionally, the zippers have been described as small and fragile, raising concerns about durability. The jacket's collar and hood were also frequently discussed. Some users find the hood somewhat bulky and uncomfortable, while others noted it could be easily removed. Despite these issues, many users indicated that they would still recommend the jacket for its warmth and overall quality, emphasizing its value, particularly in cooler climates. **
