The larger size of the container will last much longer between replenishments, making it a more cost-effective option than smaller sizes. One drawback to the container is the lid, which is made of a different type of plastic than the container and eventually wears out after hundreds of removals and reseals, leading to a poor seal. Using a higher-impact plastic may solve or at least diminish this problem. It would be helpful if Domino Sugar offered the option of purchasing a replacement lid to continue using the container to refill with sugar. Overall, Domino Sugar's 4LB Canister is a great product that is reusable and will last a long time.
