iStarUSA Computer Cases D-213-MATX Editorial Review
The iStar D Value D-213-MATX 2U Rackmount Server Chassis is a decently built and well-assembled case that is suitable for rack mounting small server/workstation setups. It has a good build quality and can accommodate a standard PSU. However, there have been mixed experiences with this product. Some users have reported that the case arrived in a scuffed condition, indicating that it may have been a previously returned unit. There have also been complaints about missing screws, making it difficult to install fans and mount HDDs. Additionally, there have been compatibility issues with certain motherboards, such as the SuperMicro mATX board, which did not fit due to CPU offset and conflicting with HDD installation. This has caused frustration and delays in server builds. On the positive side, some users have found success with using Consumer mATX boards, stating that the case fits their needs well. They have appreciated the ease of working with the case and have been able to customize it to their liking by removing unnecessary drive bays and installing additional fans for better airflow. Overall, the iStar D Value D-213-MATX 2U Rackmount Server Chassis has received mixed feedback from users. While it may work well for some setups, others have experienced frustration with compatibility issues and poor design choices. It is recommended to carefully measure and Consider compatibility before purchasing this product.
